This was sent in an email from a fellow supporter who got it right. Here is an exert from the email:
“So far, we only see the usual suspects pandering the same old lines. It is difficult to believe any of them after looking at their records. It would be nice to get someone in charge who is really interested in doing something for the people rather than simply enhancing their political career.
Detroit City government appears to be like the Lions. A loosely knit organization of separate offices that do not interface well with each other in developing a plan for the long term, and do not answer to a central authority. I’m afraid that it will take more than just a new mayor to change that. It would be nice if we could throw out the entire organization and start from scratch.”
