The present mayor seems to lack the sense of urgency that the city of Detroit greatly needs. There has been a lack of accomplishment and progress because Cockrel lacks the ability as well as the intellect to move Detroit in the direction it needs to move in. Cockrel boasts of Cobo Hall as an accomplishment, however, the ground work had already been laid long before he stepped in Kwame’s shoes.
The city needs both strength and integrity, determination and fortitude. I do not believe that Cockrel has the mental muscle to keep the city of Detroit’s attention nor to invigorate the change that it warrants for survival.
The city deserves a D for disgrace.
Please remain optimistic until the vote are counted. There is still hope for Detroit.
